Cursor AI Keeps Breaking from the Build Plan

To try and keep from building folders in the wrong place, I start each small tasks with a file hierarchy that it should follow, instructions to refer to codebase, use full paths, pay attention to the path it is in, etc.

I then work for a while and notice that all of my instructions have been forgotten. I get duplicate dirs throughout the project, commands not using full paths, and it starts asking me for copies of files that are already indexed in codebase.

I am a bit embarrassed about how many times this has happened and I need help to make it stop. It is beyond frustrating. Sometimes, the instructions are ignored in the SAME query response!

How do I fix this? Do I make a macro? Do I paste my instruction set in each command? Do I write it into a doc?

Please help… TYIA

Hey, regarding the issue of adding context and it not being visible to the AI, we have a bug we have identified that causes this, but this should be fixed in an update very soon.

As a workaround, starting a new composer session should resolve it for you. You can now @ old composers as context, which may help you get up to speed much quicker than starting the composer from scratch,
