Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

  1. Install the WSL extension @id:anysphere.remote-wsl
  2. Getting an error Error while fetching extensions. Failed to fetch
  3. Direct downloads of extension is block at our company.
  4. Is there a way to download this vsix file and install it manually?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a repo from WSL Ubuntu
  2. Open the terminal in cursor with WSL
  3. Cursor prompts to install the WSL extension @id:anysphere.remote-wsl
  4. Getting an error Error while fetching extensions. Failed to fetch
  5. Direct downloads of extension is block at our company.
  6. Is there a way to download this vsix file and install it manually?

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.7.54 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.99.3
