“Cursor.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash

Hey, thanks for the report. We’re looking into this. I hope we’ll fix it soon.

also, I tried to download older versions - the same.

Same here. When I open Coursor, this is what I see

Yesterday it was working fine, but today all I see is a black screen, and I can’t access anything.

Still the same error, it’s been a few days and my previous installation seems to be gone after trying to install this one. When you fix this? Please give us the timeline

MacOs Monterey, 12.7.6 (21H1320)

same problem for Mac Universal and Mac x64

Experiencing the same on an M3. I migrated from an Intel Mac, and initially, I got a message that I was using an emulated version of Cursor. After trying to install the universal or arm64 versions, I get the mentioned error and can’t successfully install it.

Running brew install --cask cursor I managed to install it, but it shows a message saying that I am using an emulated version.

For me it worked to copy the .app file to the desktop first and not to Applications directly.

@s3n Thanks! That worked!

Thanks! That worked!

That works! Also, how come downloading the latest Cursor is 0.47 while the changelog shows 0.48 is available already? Is the download button wrong

Because its still rolling out and not yet out for all. if you dont want to wait you can use following.
