Over the past year, Auto mode has been very generous, and I’ve been using it a lot. I’m about to renew my subscription for another year. What will happen to Auto mode going forward? Will it continue to be generous, or is the party coming to an end soon?
hey @Ben_Raf, as of today, there is no plan in putting auto to an end, I used to love, and still love auto for generic request, only recently did composer 2.5 took the first place of my most used models, but auto stays at a strong second place haha, since we are at it, don’t hesitate to share some feedback (if any) about auto and your experience using it throughout the updates
Hey, thanks for the request. Auto mode is one of the key parts of the product, and there are no plans or announcements to shut it down or limit it. So there’s no reason to worry that the “party will end.”
The only honest caveat is that exact limits and plan terms can change over time, and I can’t guarantee specific numbers a year in advance. The latest terms are always easiest to check in the Dashboard and in the models and pricing docs: Models & Pricing | Cursor Docs
Also, @Tom_Coustols made a good point above. Auto works great for general requests, and a lot of users keep it in their regular setup. If you’ve got feedback on Auto (what works, what’s missing), send it over, it’s really helpful.
