Cursor Autocomplete performance has dropped

Cursor automcomplete doesn’t work as well as before.
Doesn’t give suggestions as much as before and as big as before
Suggestions are too simple and less efficient
Sometimes I push the cursor to give suggestion. For example it’s needed to add function to export object now I have to add new line and write the first letter of the function.
I’m sure there are some on purpose performance dropping but hope it will be fixed soon
Even it doesn’t close the if block curl bracet anymore

Hey, we should have some improvements coming in our next big update soon, so I’d suggest waiting for that update and seeing how things feel after!

I hope so. Thanks for information

Agree with this; comments and code completely out of scope and context are being suggested to be removed on the regular…quite bad atm

I think it’s about the traffic load. Because it works better at nights and get worse in daytime

Hi Danperks, Thanks for your response, but please read the problem carefully. I didn’t talk about the chat or composer. The problem is with the Cursor Tab.

Good point, I think I sent that reply to the wrong thread!

We have a new Tab model coming in our next release which we hope should improve Tab’s performance, so I’d suggest waiting for that to release and see how that performs!

And in the meantime? Is there any way to temporarily improve Cursor Tab. Atm working in vue, and it clearly and consistently wants to remove the closing tab 2 lines under the line I’m working on. Makes it impossible to use Cursor Tab.

Also, how long do you incremental rollouts take? Im still on version 0.40.3, so I need 5 version bumps to get the new model

Previously, when I directly copied the code and pasted it into the chat or composer, I could directly reference specific line numbers in the code. However, after the recent updates in the past few days, it seems like this functionality hasn’t been working (because I already know which part of the code is causing the issue). Also, in the past few days, it frequently deletes the functions and code that I have already written…

This seems like your installation hasn’t auto-updated, I’d recommend downloading Cursor from cursor.com again, and you’ll likely see an improvement hopefully

Our new Fusion model should be available soon, which should be a big upgrade on Tab’s intelligence and capabilities!

Looking forward to it.
