Cursor Browser Enterprise License Not Working

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I cannot get the cursor browser to work for my enterprise license. I just keep getting a timeout error that says:

“Connection Failed”
“Browser connect was refused. Timeout waiting for automation server to be ready”

I’ve tried basic troubleshooting, like disabling HTTP2.

It could be possible that our IT department is somehow mucking with the connection. Anything I can try to debug this issue?

Steps to Reproduce

Open browser and try to reach any URL. I am trying www.google.com.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. The built-in browser had several issues that were fixed in updates after version 2.0.34.

Please try the following:

  • Update to the latest Cursor version: Help > Check for Updates
  • After updating, test the built-in browser again

If the issue persists after updating:

  • Let us know if other agent features are working normally
  • Check with your IT team if there are any restrictions on localhost automation servers or browser automation tools

The “automation server timeout” error suggests that the browser automation component might be blocked by network policies. Let me know if the update helps.
