Please do your best to address lag and performance issues in upcoming updates. They have been quite significant recently even after uninstalling and updating.
Agreed. Cursor is unusbale at this point.
I am not sure if it is due to using Gemini-2.5; but every request basically requires a cursor restart.
Having performance issue too, it like freezing for a bit constantly.
I’ve been continuing this same issue in another thread as well. Cursor has been seriously unusable at times the past 4-5 days.

If finally seems to have been resolved- performance today is much perkier.
Not really for me. And I do pay for the PRO. Seems like there are too many users and a computational bandwidth issue now.
Unfortunately, clearing your cursor folder in your roaming app data will fix it - or at least that’s what worked for me. Ensure you back up your chats, rules, etc first!
Agree. one request takes 5 or more minutes to complete. For me Cursor is unusable.
Chaning to sonnet-3.7 helped. So this might be model dependent?

Hello to everyone on this thread, I am a pro user as well and have been using Cursor since February with this being the worst the performance has been. Even after uninstalling and deleting app data multiple times it still did not help. I highly recommend installing version 0.48.6, I have been working for multiple hours now without issue.
