Cursor CLI stopped supporting gemini-3-pro model

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

cursor cli was working fine for a few days using “gemini-3-pro” model. Today it broke. I am getting: ConnectError: [not_found] Error
it works fine for all other models though (sonnet 4.5, gpt-5 etc)
please help!

Steps to Reproduce

run cursor-agent --model gemini-3-pro --api-key …

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Cursor CLI Version: 2025.11.25-d5b3271 (November 25, 2025)

For AI issues: which model did you use?

gemini-3-pro

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable
