Gemini models in cursor-agent?

Describe the Bug

Running /model ls in cursor-agent shows only gpt-5, opus-4.1, sonnet-4.

The docs here say Gemini is supported model, how can i add that option? (I’m not a cursor desktop user) Cursor – API Keys

Steps to Reproduce

Running /model ls in cursor-agent

Expected Behavior

Be able to query to Gemini with gemini or vertex api key

Operating System

Linux

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Really? There is no resolution to this major discrepancy in docs vs actual behavior?

hi @sutt sorry I did not see your thread yet. Currently we only provide models in CLI that are well working with our tools. As you might have seen Gemini has some issues from time to time with tool calls and once we improve that we will extend the list in CLI.
