Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Background Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

When selecting a model for a cloud agent, I selected Composer 2, but the chat started using Opus 4.6 high

Steps to Reproduce

Go to cursor.com/agents. Select Composer 2 from the model dropdown and start a new chat. The new chat starts with Opus 4.6 high

Expected Behavior

When I select a model, it should use that model!

Additional Information

I burned through all of my token budget because it switched me to a much more expensive model. When I noticed the issue, I started a new chat and it did the same thing again!

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue
