Hey, this is a known issue. The Windows auto-updater can sometimes remove the current install without finishing the update. The fact that your chat history is still there confirms that only the app binary was removed, not your user data.
We shipped a fix for this earlier, but it looks like it can still happen for some users. The team is aware.
A couple questions to help us narrow it down:
Do you have any third-party antivirus or endpoint protection on the system, like CrowdStrike, Zscaler, etc.? Sometimes they silently remove apps.
Do you remember the exact version before Cursor disappeared? Was it 2.6.14, or did it update from an older version?
Also, please check the folder %LocalAppData%\Programs\Cursor. If it is empty or missing, that would confirm the updater is the cause, not antivirus, since antivirus usually moves files to quarantine.
