Hi, I am having the same issue. It updates to the new version, but I have to manually reopen it. In my case, the chat window keyboard shortcuts have stopped working too, but maybe that’s unrelated, I’m looking into that.
The “Install Now” prompt (see screenshot) used to initiate an update of Cursor and a subsequent restart. However, as of a week or two ago, it correctly updates but does not restart Cursor on all my Windows machines.
Please restore the correct and expected behavior.
Steps to Reproduce
Hit the Install Now button when it appears.
Expected Behavior
Cursor updates and restarts automatically.

Re-opening Cursor updates 50% of the time. If I am using cursor with a VPS, it does not update and then keeps asking to log into that VPS, but if i use cursor with local machine storage, it does update.
