Hey everyone,

Just wanted to chat about something real quick. I’ve been using Cursor for the past few days and it’s been pretty awesome so far.

So, here’s the thing: Any chance we might get a student discount for Cursor? Being students, I’m sure many of us would totally dig that.

We unfortunately don’t offer student discounts at the moment :frowning: (GPT-4 is expensive!). But something we’d like to look into in the future.

OpenAI may offer researcher API discount. If you go that way you could you a private API key…

Thats sad, I was enjoying it so much but I’m a student and I live in Brazil, $20 a month for me is impossible :frowning: I’ll have to come back to my old friend vs code and apologize to it lol

No updates on student discounts yet - I know this isn’t ideal for students, especially those in different regions. The main challenge is still the high cost of LLM usage that we need to cover. We’ll definitely let everyone know if this changes

Thanks, the other AI IDE started to offer Student Discounts in about 2 months ago. It would be awesome if Cursor could get into that anytime soon.

you can use gh copilot for student

yup, gh copilot have agent as well, but it seems slightly slower
suitable for student
