hey! what if your university does not provide an email account? this is a general prob with indian universities. please help
my university in india does not provide a .edu email id. i have no idea what to do. this prob is solved by google by allowing students in india to upload the picture of ID card
I was a PRO subscriber and was approved for the student’s discount. Should I cancel my PRO subscription or will CURSOR take care of this automatically?

I have followed all the steps to access the student discount and was approved, but when I try to apply the discount, it redirects me to the billing page, and the discount is not applied or there is no option for the discount.
I had the same problem everyone is having right now and I might’ve found the fix but it shouldn’t be this way (Discount doesn’t apply even after getting verified by the SheerID).
I applied for student discount with my .edu email. The discount got applied but I didn’t have my card details with me so I decided that I would redeem it later. Later when I tried applying discount It wasn’t applied and showed 20$ billing.
Here’s what I realized, When I redeemed the discount I was logged into cursor with my personal email, but now I was trying to redeem on .edu email that I applied with. Then it hit me that the discount might’ve been applied to the personal email account that I was logged in with at the time of applying for student discount. I logged in with my personal email and checked that discount actually is being applied here.
So, try logging in with the email that you were logged into Cursor with at the time of applying for Student discount and discount should be applied. Do reply if this works.
Welp you do now but only in the US, even if the country list pretends otherwise

they said that your Cursor email must match your university email… so if you redeemed the offer while logged in with your personal email, you’re basically stuck and can’t get the offer
Actually, I am from Nepal and normal Visa Debit/Credit cards from Nepal are not accepted internationally and I have to make a separate Dollar Card so I can’t confirm if this’ll work or not. I’ll update if it works for me with the Dollar Card if I end up making one.
