Same I tried both 1.1 and 1.0 and it crashes on launch.

It happens specifically when I open my project. Here it works:

I select my project, it opens and then it shows the chat loading and the whole app becomes unresponsive.

I was able to copy the version info:
Version: 1.1.0 (Universal)
VSCode Version: 1.96.2

An update just came through with same issue:

This happens when your chat is massive. You need to backup your chat and start a new chat.

You can try exporting your chat history using this extension:

You can simply rename your folder directly from the file system without needing to open Cursor, and you can also move the folder to another location on your drive.

Additionally, you can delete the history by navigating to this path and sorting the folders by modification date. Choose the one that was used recently, you can delete it or save a backup just in case:

Windows: %APPDATA%\Cursor\User\workspaceStorage
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Cursor/User/workspaceStorage
Linux: ~/.config/Cursor/User/workspaceStorage
