Just to add to the investigation, does the screenshot in this post capture what you are describing?

Attached context keeps disappearing

I am experiencing this behaviour also - steps to reproduce: Add files via the + button in Ctrl + L chat Or, add files via the @ Files symbol Navigate between file tabs The files that are present in the chat context are removed (seemingly arbitrarily) [pinned_file_context_removal_when_navigating_file_tabs]

If so, this behaviour has been acknowledged by the Cursor team and a fix will be in place in the next release:

Cursor Chat removes the selected files in the context when I switch between tabs since last update
