It appears so, if the thing you are developing has any business in a console and is platform agnostic. If you need specific Windows toolkit or MCP for other parts of the project, then of course not. I made an install script for Linux that sets it up as you usually find it on Windows and the workload for me is usually server or backend stuff so no more Windows for a while.

Cursor has excellent support for plugins and this may resolve some missing gaps.

Virtualbox/virt-manager is now able to provide seamless virtualization to solve any hybrid setups.

But generally the performance and agility seems better on Linux.

Linux and mac are the best os for coding, without doubt. BUT, if you are using linux A LOT of ai tools dont going to make nothing to priorize you in any possible way. So mac for notebook linux for desktop. windows for games

I dont have probles with ubuntu. i just ask like no-sandbox or something else in a couple of weeks, but works perfects. just ask claude how to install .deb and it is fine. but i have 32gb ram and 24gbvram too. so yes, lastly doesnt care the resources maybe

if you are using a Virtual machine, with linux you have not a chance for cursor, because can be used for aws etc . so use linux with your computer and your ip and maybe can be ok

claude WIll return soon ubuntu firefox . Perfect always on mac

Well, here’s mine: Please improve Linux support :slightly_smiling_face:
