I feel like the projects feature was the most OP feature i’ve ever experienced. I live in a hacker house, and we all agreed the feature was worth $60 MINIMUM.
Leveraging markdown format, we were able to create the most borderline agentic coding agent that we’ve experienced. Adding the context files and having a very simple / straightforward way to command the model around to build empires.
After the past update, when projects transitioned to notes, i felt that the feature was severely nerfed. No longer is it easy to add context, or to work with composer for dedicated agentic profiles. It feels like the intention of the feature now is to brainstorm, rather than to superpower your IDE with agents on a mission.
Is there any way i can roll back the update, need to experience the past version again…
also i can no longer copy+paste+enter a terminal error on my composer. it is registered as “terminal X-Y” in the context window, and am prompted to add additional text commands to fix it.
I’m also curious about that agentic workflow! Could you make a tutorial if you find the old version? What’s your OS? There was a thread somewhere with download links for the previous versions.
I don’t even know there is a feature like that, what should we use it for? (all I know is the ctl-k, and composer ). isn’t tagging files or folders in composer does the trick, for any use case? going to read about notepad… exciting
Please take a look at this clip - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfaroXLBSDE it’s in Polish but surely you’ll get the context. My prompts are included in video description.
dobre dobre! I noticed your composer makes new files by itself? mine doesn’t. also I noticed the ‘shadow workspace’ feature setting disappeared (exists in docs, but not in latest cursor) things moving fast I guess. will keep practicing.
