The symptoms occur whenever you use the chat function. The code being generated cannot be applied. If I click the apply button, nothing happens, but the chat mentions that it has already been applied. However, no changes are made to the code.
This happens when editing existing files as well as when creating a new file. If Cursor create a new file, it gets created, but it is empty. Clicking reapply does nothing.
I’ve got a Mac too. The same Cursor version works fine on Mac.
This happened to me after the latest update – it seemed likely that the editing tool interface had changed and all my older chats only knew the old interface. So try opening a new chat.
I am facing the same issue on a Mac where code generated by any OpenAI model isn’t being applied. There is no option to apply the changes.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Cursor but the issue still persists.
