This is not a bug but my experience. I have been using VS Code and Claude 3.5 and 3.7 and opted to try Cursor. Claude 3.7 has many limitations and inconsistencies and hoped to address some of these by using Cursor. I installed Cursor, opened my project via its workspace file, and started configuring Cursor to taste. I stepped out and return to continue and shortly after I receive a message that i had used up my free auto complete requests but my account shows I have no usage, consumed zero. Initially support responded and offered to transfer me to another team member but then its been silence now for 3 days and no email responses. This is just a summary of my experience
Hey, you receive a one-time quota of 2000 autocompletions. If you see 0 usage for premium models, it means you haven’t used models like Claude, GPT, etc.
Autocompletions and requests to models are different things.
Thank you but your response is not relevant. Does cursor respond to any meessges sent to [email protected]. What other methods of support are available
Yes they respond but it is an AI. When I asked about my bugs resolution, it suggested very radical methods which include deleting a lot of stuff. It didn’t sound right and after few interactions I grw very suspicious and I asked if it was an AI on the other side , and it confirmed. So I would not trust relying on their tech support via email until they get humans to do it or have a significantly better AI to handle the tickets.
Thank you. That actually makes sense. My AI was Michael Truell and Sam from Cursor.
From this experience this product is woefully not ready for production use. I am better of using Claude directly versus adding another layer of inefficiency and cost
