SUPER LOW. Normally I don’t post in the forum, but the speed has been unbearable recently.

the entire app just freezes. havent been able to use cursor all day

@hotairbag The last time I had this problem, my theory was that once the file length goes above ~1200 lines of code, the diff algorithm (i guess VSCode native?) basically breaks down, become incredibly slow to show and update any changes made by the LLM and you get these “stuff is taking too long, wait or stop” popups.
Going back to < 700 lines of code on all my files solved this freezing problem for me.
Would love to know if other people found the same thing or had different experiences.

ok thanks ill look at some files to check. however i deleted cursor 49 and got 48 and it works fine now :frowning:

Had the same problem when there were more than 1000+ lines in the code. I also solved it by splitting the code into several components, hooks and so on. But today the agent itself works insanely slow, no matter how many lines are in the file. Apparently, the problem is either on the cursor side or on the AI side.

I have the same issue on 0.50.1. I feel the Cursor Agent got much slower even using faster models.

I would pay money for the mode of use for acceleration, but all models have become so stupid in the last 5 days that they eat up all the money in vain and do not solve the problems! The last days working in the cursor is just a struggle and theft of time.
