Cursor Pro Membership: Request Failures & Quota Discrepancy

Describe the Bug

Hi Cursor Support Team,

I’m a Cursor Pro member and started facing issues since June 11th. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

Request Responsiveness Issue
When I send prompts to Cursor, it rarely responds. Out of hundreds of attempts, I’ve only received valid AI responses fewer than 10 times.

Quota Usage Mismatch
My account has a 500-request quota, but only 14 requests are recorded as “used” — even though I’ve sent far more prompts than that.

Network Test Result
To troubleshoot, I ran curl https://api.cursor.sh in Windows PowerShell (screenshot attached). The error was: “未能解析此远程名称: ‘api.cursor.sh’” (English: “Failed to resolve the remote name: ‘api.cursor.sh’”). This suggests a DNS resolution failure — my device can’t find Cursor’s server domain.

Could you help investigate:

Is there a regional service issue affecting users in Taiwan?
Are there hidden restrictions on my Pro account (even though I’m subscribed)?
Could my home WiFi’s network settings (e.g., DNS, router rules) be blocking access to Cursor’s servers?
Attached: Screenshot of the PowerShell error (showing DNS resolution failure).

Thanks for your assistance!
Best regards,
Andy

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hi @andyyen817 and welcome to the Cursor Forum.

Thank you for the bug report. I will answer some of your questions.

  • Error requests are not charged, especially if your request does not reach Cursor servers.
  • No regional issue is known.
  • No hidden restrictions are applied.
  • Cursor does not know your home WIFI setting or if they could affect access to Cursor servers. But it is possible that your provider, network, firewall, antivirus or Windows setup affects access to Cursor servers.

Could you please check in Cursor > Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console if there are any errors and post the erros here?
