I just wanted to make an appreciation post about the value of cursor.
Cursor lets you build virtually any software in whatever language preference you desire. It doesn’t only let you control what you build, but how it gets built, and that’s great!
I just built an Email Management System for virtually free in under 6 hours. Even with my current level of Python the amount of research this would’ve taken me on my own would’ve taken around a month.
Thank you for letting me focus more on what I want to build vs the tiny implementation details! Cursor.sh team is amazing
Are you guys talking about gpt models or Claude sonnet? For me building flask and Django and Nuxt / web code works perfect most of the time. Still much faster than coding from scratch.
Hey Zach, I’d love to chat further with you if you are up to it.
I also recently built an email management system, also in Python haha!
I’m using it to apply tags to my gmail messages in order to try to assist in the processing workflow. It hasn’t exactly worked out as well as I hoped, but I think my next step is to tackle more prompt optimization, or try to write a huge prompt guide with examples of various types of situations to handle.
Anyways, it would be fun to chat further or at least share notes on this type of project. You can reach me at any alias under the wgrant.dev domain.
