Cursor Status: Down?

Hey guys,

any info on the status?

it shows “all good” but 90% of my tries to get a completion fails and even my cursor user dashboard online consistently fails to load.

any info about when cursor will be usable again?

Facing the same issue, tried models like o4-mini, 3.7 sonnet, gemini 2.5 pro, etc.., all of em are showing erro

This might be regional? Some data centers for AI providers are heavy loaded during different times of day.

I tried same models and had no issue getting good response right now.

sure, I also thought about this. re-connected to the WAN, tried different access points.

result for me: the issues persist since almost two hours now. :man_shrugging:

Could you disable privacy temporarily, make a new request and post the request ID here for Cursor team to look at it directly?

The original and new dashboards https://www.cursor.com/settings / https://www.cursor.com/dashboard both load fast on my side.

almost a hundred percent of my requests were fail in these almost 4 days

about the privacy:
does it need to be disabled during the prompt & completion or for as long as you want to look into it? i like my privacy… :upside_down_face:

also good to know about themodel provider connection problems: it responds well, briefly, until it just stops. There might be two unrelated issues going on.

now the settings dashboard loads most of the time, but

  1. it shows stale data (last 7 minutes are missing)
  2. see error quote related to model provider issue in the screenshot

hard to really pinpoint or describe the issue as everything is working now and then more or less. as you can tell by the error rate, making progress is not really feasible.

ok it starts getting worse.

now all my requests failed due to “VPN connection not available” (? → must be cursor internal…)

… followed by a reset of my index.

what is happening here?

@proteus-dev privacy mode can be enabled after you get the request ID for posting here.

Its likely that Cursor team is working on things, but in this case I cant take the credit. Might be a temporary issue.

Though the VPN connection would rather hint at your machine.

But: indexing issues can cause other unrelated stuff to not work well. good point!

Hey, unfortunately, Anthropic was facing some downtime, which will not be shown on our status page as it’s not an issue with us! We will improve the visibility of such issues in the future so this is clearer.

Anthropic was not a topic in this thread leaving me a bit puzzled why you marked your response as solution as these matters seem to be unrelated, or atleast should be unrelated…?

Sorry, I didn’t spot that you were specifically using Gemini, apologies.

If you are seeing errors repeatedly, I’d recommend starting a new chat as sometimes the models can forget how to behave correctly and cause errors themselves!
