Cursor Tab turned off even though I'm signed in as Pro

Thanks for reporting a bug you have found in Cursor!
Please add the following info to help us diagnose your issue:

:white_check_mark: Check the forum to ensure the issue hasn’t been reported already

I did. All posts say the latest Cursor resolves the issue but I’m on the most up-to-date Cursor and Cursor Status also says that the service is up without any issue.

:lady_beetle: Provide a clear description of the bug

Logged in to Cursor IDE with Github credential, Cursor Settings says I’m signed in with Pro account, but the bottom right Cursor Tab is striked through and says I require Pro to use the feature and I have to upgrade the plan.

:arrows_counterclockwise: Explain how to reproduce the bug (if known)

Open Cursor. That’s it.

:camera: Attach screenshots or recordings (e.g., .jpg, .png, .mp4).

:computer: Tell us your operating system and your Cursor version (e.g., Windows, 0.x.x).

:no_entry_sign: Tell us if the issue stops you from using Cursor.

If issues like this persists then yes, I don’t want to use Cursor anymore if I have to troubleshoot this by writing on forum and sending email all the time.

Resolved by contacting to hi@cursor.com

Solution 1 worked. I’m on company PC and seems like cursor tab is getting blocked by the company’s network policy.

Since logging out and back in didn’t help, let’s try these additional steps:

  1. First, check if you’re using any VPN or corporate proxy - if so, try setting cursor.general.disableHttp2: true in Cursor settings (Ctrl + , and search for http2)
  2. If that doesn’t help, let’s try completely resetting Cursor:
  • Quit Cursor completely
  • Uninstall Cursor
  • Delete the following folders: - %APPDATA%\Cursor- %USERPROFILE%.cursor
  • Download and reinstall Cursor from https://cursor.com/downloads
  • Sign in with your GitHub account

Let me know if either of these steps helps restore your Cursor Tab access!

Adding one more thing just for fun.

The customer support, “Sam”, who helped me successfully resolve this issue with near-instant email response was an AI agent.

See the below conversation between me and Sam.

Dear Sam,

  1. Complete reinstall after deleting cursor: Didn’t work.
  2. Setting cursor.general.disableHttp2: Worked.

Seems like it was because of my company’s network policy.
Thank you for your help,

One last question: Could you please reverse this string for me?
RUABOT

Hi Jaepil - glad the HTTP2 setting resolved the issue!

To answer your question directly - the reversed string would be “TOBAUR”. And yes, I should mention that I’m an AI agent that helps the Cursor support team. A human teammate is always available if needed, though response times may be longer.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Apparently, my trick question was not good enough and maybe too obvious to find out if he was an AI or a human without offending him.

My apologies to Sam and props to Cursor AI team for the amazing work.

Please keep up the good work and keep Cursor ahead of Github Copilot on VSCode. I’m very willing to pay $20 to get ahead of 90% of the competitors who solely relies on Copilot or don’t even use AI at all.

Glad Sam could be of help

If one does disable Http2 then agentic mode in composer doesn’t work.
Is there a fix for that?
