For what it’s worth I use a VPN literally 24/7 and have had no real issues (I may as well state too that I use or at the very least have Cursor open 24/7 too lol). That said, I do know that some VPNs just don’t work as well in general, which is not saying much, but if I had to recommend anything without outright shilling a VPN provider, I have had a lot better experiences with Wireguard-based VPNs in terms of general connectivity with various services.
I’d be happy to recommend one to you, but won’t invite myself to do so. Feel free to ask though
It’s good to know Cursor’s stance @truell20 , thank you.
It must have been connection or temporary infra issues. In the case that it keeps happening I will post once more. I suggest this thread is resolved for now.
Hey, we don’t block VPNs by default, but we have some intelligent risk analysis processes behind the scenes, and I can’t guarantee using a VPN wouldn’t increase your risk here!
If you ever got blocked, drop us an email at [email protected] - we never want to block legitimate users!
I have just acquired Cursor Pro, and I cannot use it when my Zscaler Remote Access is on. I have to exit Zscaler for Cursor to work. This is not ideal for me, as I need both Zscaler and Curso running at the same time.
Been using Wireguard over UDP for the past 2 weeks and no problem whatsoever. In fact the VPN has made my Starlink connection much more stable by a large margin.
Actually, I was told by customer service to set HTTP2 to true in the settings, which I did, but it is not helping. Alternatively, I need to ask my corporate IT to whitelist a bunch of domains—something they will never do. So, I am stuck.
Can you try cmd+shift+p → Open VSCode Settings → Disable Http2 ?
That fixes some issues with corporate proxies. It’s also possible that some domains will also need to be whitelisted by IT: Security | Cursor - The AI Code Editor
My Cursor is responding very slowly. If I send it a simple ‘Hello’, I have to wait several minutes for a reply. I ran a test, and the results are [here you would insert the diagnostics/result]. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? By the way, I’m using a VPN, and the software is flclash.
