Describe the Bug
Why are these Cursor processes are always running?
And no, I didn’t have any *.cursor.com pages open while taking the screenshot.
CursorUIViewService
processes are always running.
And https://*.cursor.com
on MacOS Sequoia 15.5, and it’s happening since always, I remember. I constantly found Cursor consuming over 10GB of RAM.
It’s unnecessary resource usage, and I’ve never allowed any background processing when the Cursor isn’t running.
Steps to Reproduce
- Fully quit all Cursor instances
- Kill these remaining processes
- They will start automatically again without running the Cursor
Expected Behavior
- Quit Cursor instances
- No remaining background processes related to Cursor (after few seconds)
