An alert panel opens:
“Set up usage billing for premium models: Please increase your spending limit to use this model”
No problem. I increased my limit significantly.
BUT the alert panel remains? I expect it to disappear.
I closed cursor, restarted 3 times, re-open cursor, and the alert panel remains, partially blocking the view of my Agent window.
I’ve added plenty to my spending limit and still showing. I verified on Settings | Cursor - The AI Code Editor that my usage settings are correctly increased.
I’m on mac OS 15.3.1 (24D70), running Cursor v0.48.6

This has driven me around the bend as I 'm stuck now! I also upgraded to Business and I’ve also done exactly what you did too with restarting and re-opening about 5 times! And I’m on Mac OS 15.3.2 running Cursor v0.48.7. Thank you for sharing, at least I’m not alone with this issue.

I might have found a fix.
- Start new agent chat
- Dialog is gone
- Enter any prompt to ask the agent to do something.
- “Set up usage billing for premium models” dialog appears, stopping the agent.
- Use dialog to update spend limit
- This time it works, and the dialog clears.
The key seems to be re-triggering the dialog in a new chat and re-trying the flow.

So it only lasted all of 5 minutes before the pop up box was back. However Cursor’s support team got back to me very quickly. You have to enable user based pricing in the settings for your account as well as letting the support team know, so that they can resync the changes. They informed me that it may take up to 30 minutes for this to got through. Today, I’ve been working on another project, so it’s been good to have some distance from my rather immersive project that I’ve been doing for 4 months.
