There should be an up to date display of the current account status on the GUI. Reporting of the costs incurred for each interaction would also be good.
This seems like an obvious thing to me. I could not see myself using this without the feature implemented.
GUI is nice touch might be nice…
There’s a third-party extension of you search VScode extensions marketplace. There’s also the official account settings:
I second the usage of Settings page for now. You get whickly a feeling how each request works. its only really necessary to check when you use Agent mode with MAX or thinking or large context options as well as models that only work with usage based pricing as all those options those are not 1 request per prompt.
That 3rd party vscode extension for cost is partially broken, i used it for a while but now shows NaN etc in so many cases.

Yes built in solution was discussed in several threads and Cursor team is apparently aware of that, The priority. one of the issues of this forum is that too many threads get created which makes finding the previous discussions just harder. Not a blame on you as your threads are pretty focused.
As there are higher impact features/fixes that are prioritized by Cursor team and the settings page works well for knowing your usage records and cost it may take a bit until they get to this feature, but i think they have something in progress already as was discussed on those other threads
I use this Chrome extension created by a forum member. Now my credits are always visible without needing to visit the settings page. Try it, you might like it.
