I work with two monitors and I want the Agent window to be displayed on the left monitor and the editor window on the middle monitor, instead of constantly switching between them using Ctrl+E.

Quick summary: separate Agent windows were removed in 2.0 because of user complaints on single-monitor setups and performance issues. A Cursor engineer confirmed the team wants to bring this back, but there’s no ETA yet.
Temporary workaround: you can manually drag the chat tab into a separate window. Right-click the chat tab > Move into new window. There’s a bug though, after moving it you need to start a new chat for the window to work properly.
