Does not install open remote ssh extension

Shows as installing Open Remote SSH extensions. When window if focused the progress continues without ever finishing. When I switch to another window the installing extension message disappears but I can not ssh into my remote machine.

I am having this problem as described here, but in version 0.49.6.
