I would like it so that when MAX is enabled in one chat, it remains enabled only in that chat; and to enable it in another chat, I would have to toggle MAX again.
This is important because it is a hidden setting that makes some models more expensive.
This may interfere with users who constantly use MAX mode.
Hi @Artemonim Thank you for the feature request. You’re correct - currently Max Mode is a global toggle and it is by design primarily to set expectations for users regarding cost. On enterprise and team plans, it is important to admins / team owners to be able to enable or disable Max Mode, and it would likely create undue complexity to have it on a per-chat basis.
The good news is that as an individual, you can easily toggle Max Mode on and off. Just disable it when you don’t need it, and you will not be using Max Mode capabilities when you don’t need it.
Yup that matches the current behavior! Max Mode is a global default for new chats. Existing or already-running chats keep the model configuration they were started with, so toggling Max Mode later won’t retroactively change an in-progress chat. New chats will inherit whatever the current Max Mode setting is.
