Enterprise canceling Cursor contract because they are unresponsive to communication

Preamble

At the beginning of 2025, our 20k+ employee enterprise initiated a Cursor pilot in a department with 10+ engineers. The department found that it made our engineers more productive, and our engineers love using it. The department would prefer to continue the contract and advocate for its roll-out more broadly at the organization.

Call to Action

Sadly, it looks like the department will cancel its contract, because the Cursor team has stopped responding to our communications. The purpose of this post is to get cursor’s attention. Please have your enterprise team immediately reach out to the vendor specialist associated with cursor team id 3219496.

Background Context

Like in any large enterprise, this enterprise requires compliance contracts to be signed to add a new vendor to the billing roster. The department has a dedicated professional vendor management specialist (VMS) to ensure that the organization’s contracts are in good shape. The VMS contacted cursor dozens of times, roughly once a week for updates over the last six months. The last response was four months ago, stating

For these compliance documents, our enterprise team handles all such requests through our contact sales form. Since you’ve already submitted the request, they’re working through their queue as quickly as possible. … the enterprise team is currently experiencing high volume, but they’ll prioritize your request

We have many, many vendors, but Cursor is the only one that has ignored our VMS for four months, so we can’t continue our contract unless things turn around in the next few days.

Hey, spoke to the team and it appears our Enterprise sales / support teams have already been in contact with you.

To ensure we can support as many customers as possible, we’re only able to offer security questionnaire and vendor onboarding support for teams interested in at least 50 seats in an enterprise rollout, and it sounds like your team does not yet meet that threshold!

We’ve made all our security and compliance information publicly accessible in our Trust Center (https://trust.cursor.com) and Security Portal (Security | Cursor - The AI Code Editor) to ensure organizations are able to self-serve all the information needed to follow internal policies.

If anything changes, or you’d like any assistance expanding your trial above the threshold, please feel free to reach back out to Emily via your existing email thread.
