Erased content from Jupyter Notebook cells

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Cursor generates code in Jupyter notebook cells, then erases the contents of those same cells in subsequent code generation rounds. This is a new issue that happens consistently - not user error, the software is deleting its own output.

The erasure is happening without tracking that would allow the change to be reverted, and undo does not restore the code. I would like to see this issue resolved immediately, and ideally would like to be compensated for these wasted tokens.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a jupyter notebook using Clause Sonnet. Continue working within this notebook with requested changes from the model.

Expected Behavior

Previously generated code remains intact.

Operating System

Thanks for reporting this, and I’m sorry you’re experiencing data loss with Jupyter notebooks.

Does resetting back to Checkpoints in the Agent chat work? Or does that also not work?

To help investigate this issue, could you please provide a Request ID when this occurs?
