Error calling tool 'edit_file'

Error - edit_file

Past 20 minutes, every agent edit fails with “error calling tool edit_file” I’ve tried opening multiple chats, restarting cursor and restarting my computer. Claude 3.7 Windows 10 Cursor 0.48.7 Can no longer work until this is fixed. Wasn’t happening until I updated this morning.

I have the same thing happening for the tool write_file on Cursor 0.48.8 on macOS. It started today.

Opening a new chat window seems to have solved the problem.

However, this error is burning queries.
