Error while updating cursor & it not opening after that . Can any one help?

I was able to update fine earlier. even able to update to 0.46
but today I an another update and when tried to update ,got below error message while updating

retry several times but not luck.
but when I tried to open cursor it is not lauching at all.
so tried reinstall it from setup provided on website (dowloaded CursorUserSetup-x64-0.45.15)
it opens but when I tried to update once again . it gave same error
Any suggestion ?

The last update kills Cursor

Same. I killed the updater process, which killed Cursor entirely. I didn’t uninstall, but re-installed from the website. Sadly, that meant back to 0.45 Then I found the update installer at this location. [image] Closing Cursor and installing from this file worked and I’m on 0.46.5 now.

But it will update automatically when I close cursor, what should I do? close auto update or what?

When installing using the downloaded installer (currently 0.45.15), uncheck ‘Launch Cursor’ before clicking ‘Finish’, then install 0.46.5 from Temp location.

I’m having the same problem, after this error I can’t open the cursor, clicking on it doesn’t respond. I don’t want to use appdate’s CodeSetup-stable-0.46.5.exe for a temporary installation, it’s not a real installer and I can’t customize the installation location, I hope the official fix soon.
