Any methods to get rid of lags in Cursor?
Im literally on MacBook Pro M4 PRO one of the best configurations and Im facing extreme lags in cursor. I don’t have long chat open or any other thing that may slow down that app.
please help me

Check the amount of RAM being used. RAM usage is massive these days. Especially if you are using multiple MCP servers.
Hey, the issue might be with an extension. Try starting in safe mode: cursor --disable-extensions.
I disabled extensions, it’s still laggy af. Cursor is using 10GB from 64GB of my ram so it’s not that.
I’m not sure if you previously had the issue of cursor randomly uninstalling itself relatively frequently, but this was happening to me and perhaps that was helping avoid the lag. They fixed this issue a few weeks ago I believe and now recently I have started having massive lag issues. Uninstalling and reinstalling has helped me with this
Of course, optimizing performance of their models is very important, but I would like to see some more focus on quality of life changes to benefit the users
im new to Cursor, I believe I wasn’t using the app at that stage, ill try uninstalling it
Yes, you just need to compare 0.45.7 and 0.47.8, you will see the difference. I have always wanted to return to the old version, I think it should not be targeted at UI updates, but performance. I hope you are not just a UI company,but automatic updates really bad,
