Previously, a similar feature request was discussed here. At that time, the team explained that the “carry-over” idea would not be implemented because Cursor offered both Fast Requests and Slow Requests — users could switch to Slow mode when Fast Requests were exhausted, effectively giving unlimited usage with some waiting time.
However, the current pricing model has changed. Each plan now allocates a fixed monthly model usage equivalent to API costs (and this allocation is often less than 500 requests per month). Also, Slow Requests have been discontinued.
Under these conditions, the carry-over system would now be a fair and reasonable improvement — allowing users to fully utilize the value of their subscription without losing unused capacity due to timing.
