When I reopen a chat thread, it always scrolls to the very bottom. For long assistant responses, this drops me at the end of the answer, so I have to manually scroll up to find where the response starts. This is especially painful when navigating away and coming back to a completed answer.
Current behavior
Reopening a thread auto-scrolls to the bottom of the conversation.
Requested behavior
A setting to control landing position on thread open, e.g. “scroll to the top of the most recent response” as an alternative to “scroll to bottom.”
Why it matters
Long answers are hard to follow when you’re dropped at the end. Landing at the top of the last response lets you read it start-to-finish without hunting for the beginning.
Environment
Cursor Desktop (macOS). No existing setting, keybinding, or settings.json flag controls this today.
