Fix the memory leaks!

You guys are charging for a broken product which really opens you guys up to class action lawsuits out of the wazoo.

Look at this image. This is unacceptable. Just 5 minutes of use and I am at 10gb of memory. That is insanity.

This should be your number 1 priority. Not new features, not the latest and greatest with LLM. If you are charging people for a product then you must deliver that product. We are not paying for a half baked product. We are paying for a reliable and consistent product.

Hey, the issue might be related to extensions. Can you expand the list of processes and show me a screenshot? Also, try starting in safe mode without extensions: cursor --disable-extensions

I have this same issue, i stopped using cursor due to this…

Could it be a problem with cursor since i don’t have any issues with VSCODE?

I stopped using cursor for a week and I don’t get any memory mismanagement error shutdown ever since. I stopped using cursor for a week and PC seems good.

Then i started using again, and GOT THE ISSUE AGAIN. VScode seems all clear…

Do you have the Import Cost extension installed? Previously, users complained about it. In any case, for diagnostics, you need to open the Process Explorer and check there. There’s no memory leak, as everything is fine for me and most other users, otherwise, we would have received thousands of complaints.
