Full file agent diff edit / laggy after

Describe the Bug

During and agent request, twice now the agent is only editing a small part of a large file and ends up showing a full file edit and replace (in this case +6766 lines -6747 lines). When only a couple lines should have been replaced.

Both times it has happened while I have a different file open and am reading through that other file.

The first time, the agent response didn’t finish loading and the UI was super laggy and unusable. Closing cursor and opening didn’t fix it, I had to manually close the agent chat. If I opened that same chat again, the lag started and cursor was unusable. I deleted the chat and reopened cursor and it was ok.

But then it occurred a second time within a few minutes.

This hasn’t happened before 2.6.11 update, have been using cursor with these exact code base files for weeks without any issues.

Steps to Reproduce

Hard to say, but both times I was looking at a different file from the one the agent was editing. But I don’t know how to reproduce the issue as it seems related to agent response / edit tool use.
