Does anyone else feel the latest gemini 06-05 isn’t as good as the previous 03-25 version?

I am catching it making basic misses and it just fails with some simple stuff sometimes

Yep. On Vertex and Cursor, big perf degradation and super slow thinking/reasoning. This is 70% Google prioritizing safety, censorship, and PR stuff over performance. 30% A/B testing and cost-cutting. Cursor is not the issue.

True (and embarrassingly so), because the previous gemi version was actually 05-06, not 03-25* :sweat_smile:.
Google gave a depreciation notice for 05-06 scheduled on 6/19 - tooo soon. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I wonder what numpty thought was a good idea to name 05-06 and 06-05 too..

I like gemini as free and somrtimes use opus but free uses dissappear fast. Pro acct

Is sonnet good and are there noticeablly more free uses than opus ?
