Hi, can I ask if you’re able to provide an further answers on this? 1.1.2 has dropped and this issue doesn’t appear to be fixed. Thanks!
Hi, could you provide
- a request ID where this still occurs? (with privacy disabled if possible, otherwise Cursor Team cant debug it)
- which model you use
Sorry, just to clarify, this isn’t an issue with agent mode, so no request ID is present. Just do Cmd + K and see that regardless of what you do, you can’t get gemini 2.5 flash to show in the model selector.
Agent mode works fine.
Inline Edit models:
Agent Mode models:
I moved the request to separate thread as we need to check more details.
Let me have a look
@deanrie has there been a change in Inline Edit? it doesnt show Gemini models. (see also related issue)
@T1000 It is related to this issue:
@danperks mentioned that now every model labelled as thinking are disabled for inline cmd+K because of bad performances.
I’d prefer to let the users decide what they want to use tbh.
Gemini flash is pretty good at this task: fast & cheap, it’s a shame we can’t use it anymore.
I hope they’ll reconsider or find a better solution about this.
Yeah, or alternatively - is there a non-thinking variant of this?
Very essential for
- targeted edits / rewrites
- fast generation of commands
Thanks!
No there is no non-thinking variant of thinking only models unfortunately
