General Slowness of Composer 1.5 (and Composer 2)

I’ve noticed a general slowness of the models despite being on a 30-50 Mbps connection.

Composer 1.5 used to feel very fast around Feb-Mar, but regularly gets stuck on Planning next move for about 5s for what I call a relatively small codebase.

New chats / Old chats it doesn’t matter too much.

I’m not sure how I can replicate it - maybe its all in my head but Cursor in general feels a lot slower (IO bound, rather than the software itself).

Interested if anyone else has noticed a reduction in snappiness or if its just me.

For example I’ve been staring at this for about 15s. I know its a screenshot and I’m lazy but agents are a lot slower than they used to be.,

I’ve disabled HTTP/2 as recommended in other threads here. I work in hotels, airbnbs, cafes etc typically

Sorry to hear that, Peter. Can you go to Cursor Settings and Run the Network Diagnostics test there? Any of the tests fail there? Also, do you mind checking with another model and letting us know if the behavior is the same?

If you feel comfortable, feel free to share a chat request ID if you have privacy mode disabled, where you see this behavior. That can also help us check to see if there is a problem specific to the chat.

Thanks Kevin yes the ping seems to suck a lot. Sorry I should have done this myself I’m show you parrot this advice a lot.
