It seems that when there is code generation happening it is no longer displayed to the users but hidden behind a generating message at the bottom. I feel like it gives confidence that it’s doing something when i see the code actually being written, as sometimes i think it just stops without outputting results when the generating thing goes on for too long.
so it’s definitely something to do with when there’s a long sequence generated that it just stops working and editing files. I then ask it to break things down into smaller steps and it’s able to do them. Perhaps this should be part of the cursor system message or something to ensure that any changes are within whatever limit cursor has on single message generation (or whatever is causing this to happen).
