Also when this happens I have to quit Cursor entirely and reopen.
Version: 0.46.4
MacOS: 15.3.1
Macbook Air M2
IIRC it was updated this morning. Was not happening in 0.46.3
It has become unusable in my codebase. Really bad.
Can you try updating to the latest version? cmd+shift+p attempt update
The latest version (0.46.7) has a few fixes for timeouts and improved memory usage.
Hi there, could we get a direct download link for 46.7, every time auto update occurs I get the “tool” installation error and have to re-install from a full MSI, thanks!
Hi, a direct download link is available here: Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor for 0.46 and 0.45
(0.46 points to the latest 0.46 version, so 0.46.7)
thank you I appreciate the quick response
Hello I’m having the same with the 0.46.7 on windows with wsl.
Many tools timeout after 5000ms.
The ui is quite unresponsive and after sometimes i got OOM and cursor crash !
Happening constantly. I’m using the most up to date version on an intel MacBook
I had the same issue until I discovered I have to create new chat instances. Basically I was working in one chat history for 2 weeks and that seemed to crash the system. Maybe that’s worth a try for you
This resolved my issue
Any news for this ?
I also have a lot of those which makes AI not working in an optimal way because sometimes he skip reading and try modify directly since he failed to read.
is there a way to increase that number ? before I see that some people have the error but with 25000ms
thanks @schuon starting a new chat fixes the issue
I am frequently starting a new chat thread…so often that there is no notice to “Start a new chat”
I still get the tool call timed out and i’m on version 46.11
Please increase the timeout from 5000ms and just charge more for the tool if you have to.
