Getting Video Demos out of Cloud Agents

I’m consistently running into issues getting the cloud agents to produce video artifacts and demos. I first noticed this issue with Composer 2 on release, but now it seems to have spread to other models like GPT 5.4.

The models will occasionally produce the correctly formatted output, but most often they just attach broken mp4 files constructed through playwright to the PR. I have tried prompting it to “use the ComputerUse and RecordDemo tools to test it on your machine” and this will work occasionally, but often the models say they don’t have access to these tools. I know cursor recently moved over to dynamic tool discovery, so maybe this has something to do with it. At the very least, just prompting the models to produce video artifacts does not consistently work.

Please let me know if anyone else has run into this issue and if so how they fixed it. I have loved the video artifacts feature when it has worked; I just want it to be consistent. Thank you!

Hi Mikil,

looking at it closer it appears to be a known class of bug. We are working on improving it, and we’ll let you know if we have an update. It might take some time, though, just a heads up.
