Describe the Bug

The Go Back and Go Forward buttons have gone missing with the latest update when the Agents sidebar is to the right.

Steps to Reproduce

Fire up the cursor IDE, switch the Agents side (e.g. in Editor layout) to the right and fail to locate the Go Back and Go Forward buttons up top.

Expected Behavior

The buttons should remain visible up top (even if not at the exact same location for different layouts).

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report.

This looks like a recurring bug that was fixed before. The navigation buttons should be visible no matter where the sidebar is.

Could you share a screenshot of your UI with the Agent sidebar on the right? That’ll help the team reproduce the issue faster.

Thanks for the screenshot. This is a known issue in version 2.3.x, and the team is already working on a fix.

Or you can switch to the Editor layout where the buttons work normally.

I usually do this by checking the layout settings in the Cursor IDE. I think the issue might be related to the layout configuration. Can you try resetting the layout to its default settings and see if the buttons reappear? If that does not work, you can also try disabling any extensions you are using, especially ones related to layout or sidebar customization.

Thanks for looking into it, looking forward for the fix!

For the record, it happens in Editor layout as well (it is the one I was using), the problem is rooted in having the Agents sidebar to the right (those controls display when it is on the left) and the main one to the left which is what I’d like to keep.
