Hey, thanks for the report. Lately we’ve seen a few issues with GPT-5-Codex and plan generation. I checked on my side and it’s working for me.

Please try:

  • Using a different model (e.g., Claude Sonnet or GPT-4) to see if Plan mode works correctly.
  • Creating a new chat and trying the same prompt.
  • Sharing the exact prompt that resulted in an empty plan.

This will help us determine whether it’s a model-specific issue or a broader Plan mode bug.

I can’t use Cursor at all every message just makes the model start chatting with me instead of creating a plan.
I ended up wasting my 12 requests for nothing, honestly.

Yes - Cursor is unusable

I have tried Claude, rate is 1/3, 1 plan successfully out of 3 times. Therefore, I believe it is really random.
