gpt 5 family not having access to mcp

Steps to Reproduce

I’m on cursor for windows and my cursor agent with gpt 5 is unable to use any mcp, like how initially todos were banned for gpt 5

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. You’ve identified a known limitation: GPT‑5 models currently have limited support for some agent tools, including MCP and web search.

Temporary workaround: switch to a model that supports agent tools and MCP, such as Claude 4.5 Sonnet.

This restriction should lift as the feature stabilizes across providers.
